This is not the crowded trail to Everest. This is the road less traveled. For twenty extraordinary days, you'lll venture deep into Nepal's restricted Manaslu region, where ancient monasteries cling to mountainsides and prayer flags dance above villages that have changed little in centuries. The Tsum Valley, known as the "Hidden Valley of Happiness" reveals itself in all of its mystical glory; cliff-side Tibetan houses, centuries-old nunneries, and herds of Himalayan tahr grazing beneath Ganesh Himal's towering peaks.
Then comes the moment that defines this trek: crossing Larkya La Pass at 5,135 meters. You'll wake before dawn at Dharmasala, the air thin and cold, your headlamp cutting through darkness as you begin the climb. And then—panorama. The Himalayan giants reveal themselves in a 360-degree spectacle: Cheo Himal, Himlung Himal, Kang Garu, Gyaji Kung, and the massive bulk of Annapurna II. The descent through scree slopes leads to Bimtang, a valley so beautiful it feels like stepping into a painting.
