Kathmandu, the capital city, boasts an intense mix of cultures and religions unique to Nepal. Drive to Phedi, it takes about half an hour and then start to ascend the hill on a set up steps across the road. The main part of Dhampus valley is on the top of the ridge, more than 500m above. The trail climbs to a rhododendron forest and passes to Pothana (1990m). The view of Machhapuchhare (6997m) is excellent and the trail emerges in the main Modi Khola valley and reaches Tolkha. Stay overnight at guest house/lodge.

After breakfast, walking through terraces to Landruk a beautiful Gurung village in the way to Chomrong which provides you excellent view from Landruk trail continues to Jhinu. We observe beautiful rhododendron forests and terraces passing through our trail to the Chomrong village. Chomrong is a beautiful village with abundant accommodations and good facilities. Chomrong is an entry point to Annapurna Sanctuary trek.

We start to ascend after leaving Chomrong village, via a stone staircase and crosses the Chomrong river by a suspension bridge. The trial continues to ascend by passing through deep forests of bamboo, rhododendron and oak. We climb to Kuldi (2470m). Descend a long, steep, slippery stone staircase into a deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Dovan.

Trek along the bank of Modi Khola valley brings us nearer to the base camp of fishtail mountain. The mountain views are amazing; the panorama includes Hiuchhuli, Annapurna ranges and the ever-changing Machhapuchhare. This area is called the Annapurna sanctuary since it is surrounded by mountains.

The climb to Annapurna Base Camp takes under two hours. You descend a small ridge branching out from the mountain pass to mountainside with widespread terraced fields showcasing tranquil meadows and lush fertile farming land. As you reach Annapurna South Base Camp, witness awesome picturesque landscapes, majestic panoramic view of snow-capped mountainous peaks and varied Himalayan cultural settings tucked beneath the southern slopes of the Annapurna massive. Tremendous Annapurna Range stops your heart beat for a while; whole day without rest chill out around to explore ABC. At the end we will drop down back to Dovan for the night.

We start to walk through terraces and descend to Kimrong Khola about an hour and continue walking through rhododendron forest and nice terraces. We halt at Jhinu for lunch and we observe spectacular mountains views from there. And then continuing walk via Birethanti(1000m) above the river on a wide stone-paved trail. We continue our walking to Nayapul and catch a private vehicle to get to Pokhara. We spend a beautiful night in Pokhara city.

30 minutes Fly to Kathmandu airport from Pokhara or you may have tourist bus from pokhara to Kathmandu.
